Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Find out how we protect and process your personal data.

1. Data Controller

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR), we inform you:

  • Controller: Alex Andrés Reig (MotoGear Europe), Tax ID (NIF) 45883034N
  • Address: Rambla de Sant Nebridi, 35, 08222 Terrassa (Barcelona), Spain
  • Email: info@motogeareurope.com
  • Website: www.motogeareurope.com

2. Data We Collect

We only process the data needed for each purpose. The site is not aimed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data. This is the data we may process:

Contact data

The name, email and message you send us through the contact form, and the email you use to subscribe to the newsletter.

Browsing data

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records the pages visited, reading time, device type and approximate location. In addition, when the site loads your browser connects to Cloudflare, which serves the site, and to Google Fonts, which serves the typeface; both receive your IP address.

Advertising data

Once advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers to show and measure ads. Personalised ads are only shown with your consent.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

The personal data collected will be processed for the following purposes:

  • Responding to the enquiries you send through the contact form
  • Sending you the newsletter, if you subscribe
  • Measuring visits to improve the content, if you accept analytics cookies
  • Complying with applicable legal obligations
  • Showing third-party advertising such as Google AdSense once enabled (personalised only with your consent)

4. Legal Basis for Processing

The legal basis for processing your personal data is:

  • Your consent: contact form, newsletter, and analytics and advertising cookies. You can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing.
  • Our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and preventing abuse, such as spam through the form
  • Compliance with legal obligations

5. Data Retention

Contact form enquiries: as long as needed to reply and at most 12 months afterwards. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Cookies: the period stated in the Cookie Policy.

After those periods, the data is deleted or anonymised, unless the law requires it to be kept longer.

6. Data Recipients

We do not sell or share your data with third parties unless required by law. To run the site we use these providers, which process it on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare: hosting and delivery of the website
  • Supabase: database for the contact form and newsletter, on EU servers (Frankfurt)
  • FormSubmit: forwarding contact form messages by email
  • Google: Google Analytics, Google Fonts and, once enabled, Google AdSense advertising

Some of these providers are based in the United States. When they process data outside the European Economic Area, they do so with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. User Rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you may exercise the following rights:

Right of Access

Know what data we hold about you

Right of Rectification

Correct inaccurate or incomplete data

Right of Erasure

Request the deletion of your data

Right to Object

Object to the processing of your data

Right of Restriction

Restrict the processing of your data

Right of Portability

How to exercise your rights: email info@motogeareurope.com stating which right you want to exercise. We will only ask you to prove your identity if there is reasonable doubt about who is making the request, and we will reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) if you consider that the processing of your data does not comply with current regulations.

8. Security Measures

MotoGear Europe has adopted appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, including:

  • HTTPS (TLS) encryption for all communications
  • Access to the data limited to the site's editor
  • Database access rules that prevent messages and subscriptions from being read through the public website
  • Protection against unauthorised access and data loss

9. Cookies and Advertising

This website uses cookies and similar technologies. For more information about which cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy.

Google advertising

Once advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits. They are only used if you accept them in the cookie notice.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. To learn how Google processes this data, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

MotoGear Europe reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy to adapt to legislative or jurisprudential changes, as well as to industry practices. Any modifications will be published on this page with sufficient advance notice before they take effect.
