Frequently Asked Questions about LS2

Is LS2 a good helmet brand?

Yes, and it is probably the best value for money on the market. LS2 controls the whole manufacturing process (from fibre to assembly), which lets it offer carbon helmets at polycarbonate prices. Not as refined as Shoei or AGV, but for daily and road use it is more than enough with ECE 22.06 homologation.

How much does an LS2 helmet cost?

LS2 is one of the most affordable brands. Full-faces range from €99 for the entry FF820 Rapid III to €259-279 for the FF811 Vector II; the KPA modular (FF906 Advant) sits around €299; the carbon FF901 Advant X Carbon modular is around €400-470 (official RRP €469). In the 2026/2027 collection, the FF912 Valiant Gear starts at €299, the MX707 Explorer EVO adventure helmet at €349 (€499 in carbon) and the FF909 Ranger carbon modular, the most expensive of the new models, at €649. Still below a premium brand's carbon modular.

What size LS2 helmet should I choose?

Measure your head circumference in cm at forehead height and check LS2's chart for each model. LS2 sizing is European and fairly standard; it tends to a medium fit, not as snug as AGV nor as loose as other brands. If you hesitate between two sizes, pick the tighter one without pressure points.

What is LS2 Europe?

LS2 Europe is the European arm of LS2 Helmets: the company LS2 Motogear Europe S.L.U., with its corporate headquarters and logistics centre in Terrassa (Barcelona, Spain). From there it runs LS2's distribution and marketing in Europe. The brand's official website is ls2helmets.com. MotoGear Europe is an independent guide: we review and compare LS2 helmets, but we are not the brand or its distributor.

Where to buy LS2 helmets in Europe?

The official website (ls2helmets.com) shows the catalogue and a dealer locator. In Spain, Motocard and FC-Moto usually stock much of the range with shipping and returns. Being a budget brand, it is rarely counterfeited, but still buy from reputable shops.

LS2, Shark or HJC: which to choose?

Three value brands with nuances. LS2 stands out for the most affordable carbon and the widest range; Shark (French) for modulars with sun visor and design; HJC for balance and global presence. For the cheapest carbon, LS2; an urban modular, Shark; a proven all-rounder, HJC.

What are the new LS2 helmets for 2026/2027?

The LS2 2026/2027 collection adds four new helmets: the FF909 Ranger (carbon, from €649) and FF912 Valiant Gear (from €299) modulars, plus the MX707 Explorer EVO (from €349) and Explorer EVO Carbon (from €499) adventure helmets. It also brings new colours for existing models and the Spectrum EVO intercom. LS2 will be at EICMA 2026 (Milan, November). Full details of each model are in our LS2 2026/2027 news article.
